little wonders art show

Please join us on Saturday, December 13, 7-10PM to celebrate the holidaze and the opening of Little Wonders, a group art show featuring small works by 15 of our favorite artists. The pieces will be priced exceedingly well (as in nothing over US$ 100) so come on by to do some shopping and partying -- two of the season's primary activities!

We're also staying open late on Friday, December 12, as part of the Mission District's Get Local night. If you prefer a little less hubbub and a lot more attention, visit with us!

landmark poster by sirron norris

Anyone who has admired the many murals in San Francisco has also admired Sirron Norris' work. With about a dozen public commissions around town, he has certainly helped to make the city a more colorful place. He also keeps fabric8 supplied with a collection of small affordable pieces and t-shrts depicting the city and of course his lovable bears (now with arms!).

He recently delivered his latest masterpiece for the masses, a full-color poster for only US$ 20(!). It measures 18in. x 24in. and is very easy to frame but you can also get a framed, signed copy here for US$ 75. Run, don't walk for yours!

Old school graf artist and new skool designer Nate1 (MPC) has teamed up with Sirron Norris to bring "San Funk", this dope collaboration featuring a little bit of painting, a little bit of tagging, and a whole lot of attitude.

Measuring in at 12.5in. x 43in., it is a framed wood piece that boasts SF street art and is priced at US$ 600. Next up ... Nate1 vs. Ursula Young!

fabric8 presents sirron norris and ursula young

Saturday afternoon, August 23, San Francisco artists Sirron Norris and Ursula Young join forces again for an afternoon of collaborative painting and illustration.

These two prolific talents first worked side-by-side in the 90s, when they helped to create graphics for Panhandle Records. They became reacquainted in 2006 when we recruited them as two of our featured artists. They have since created and sold six original paintings together.

Come by to see new collaborative paintings and illustrations in the making ... and maybe even pick one up!

david choong lee + friends @ fabric8 on 4.20

Join us @ fabric8 for the first of our 2008 fun-in-the-sun art events, featuring David Choong Lee + friends (so far Romanowski, Sirron Norris, Phoneticontrol, Nathan Stapley, and graf legend Nate1) on Sunday, April 20, 1-5pm.

David Choong Lee is a truly talented artist (not to mention a good DJ) who passes on the skills of the trade to his students at the Academy of Art University. Hailing from Seoul, Korea, he initially came to San Francisco to study there. The school quickly realized he should be a teacher, not a student(!), and took him on. His amazing ability to render portraits and landscapes in a fine art manner has lent itself to his unique take on street art.

David Choong Lee and Mars-1 are preparing a two-man show for Bucheon Gallery (Hayes Valley SFO) in May, so catch him @ fabric8 next week for a preview of the mastery. All of the works created at the event will be available at affordable prices -- don't sleep!
