leon loucheur
Leon Loucheur translates to "cross-eyed lion" in French, so it is quite fortunate that he grew up in Southern California and not the South of France. He attended Humboldt State University, where he graduated with a degree in Social Science and a case of careeraphobia. He spent the next ten years tending bar and making art of various kinds. He currently resides in San Francisco with his wife and daughter and spends much of his time painting murals like the ones in Pesce and Beretta.
Loucheur recently dropped off these two 8in. x 8in. paintings, done in acryic and collage and offering a nice combination of street art, traditional rendering, and fun. They're priced at US$ 150 each. Email us for more info.

small works for great minds opening tonight
Don't forget to check out Romanowski's solo show "Small Works for Great Minds", opening tonight at fabric8 from 5-9PM and showing through December 21.
The modern Renaissance man has succeeded again in creating an exquisite collection of found object assemblages featuring color studies, chrome, some political/economic references, and even rusted plastic! A must-see.

landmark poster by sirron norris
Anyone who has admired the many murals in San Francisco has also admired Sirron Norris' work. With about a dozen public commissions around town, he has certainly helped to make the city a more colorful place. He also keeps fabric8 supplied with a collection of small affordable pieces and t-shrts depicting the city and of course his lovable bears (now with arms!).
He recently delivered his latest masterpiece for the masses, a full-color poster for only US$ 20(!). It measures 18in. x 24in. and is very easy to frame but you can also get a framed, signed copy here for US$ 75. Run, don't walk for yours!

nate1 muni paintings
Our good buddy Nate1 (New Skool/MPC) has been busting his painting chops on canvas lately, and we really dig his pixelated paintings of SF scenes so asked him to bring some by.
Above is the remaining Muni piece; the other sold only a few hours after it arrived. The price is nice at US$ 160 for a 12in. x 12in. original, so email us to purchase.

heavy hitterz artists
Thanks to James Garcia and Heavy Hitterz we have become familiar with quite a few talented artists from the Bay Area and beyond. We recently received these three from Sean Chapman, Jesse Hernandez, and Munk One.
"Tosca" by Sean Chapman, digital illustration on panel, 36in. x 12in., US$ 300. This print was one of the most sought-after works at the first Heavy Hitterz show.
"Quetzalcoatl" by Jesse Hernandez, acrylic paint and marker on canvas, 10in. x 8in., US$ 400. Jesse rocked it at our Carnival party so we're happy to have another piece by the talented painter, custom toy maker, and animator of "The Nut Shack".
"She Lives" by Munk One acrylic and spray paint on canvas, 14in. x 11in., US$ 425. Munk One is an LA-based artist and illustrator who works with the likes of Upper Playground and Tribal Gear.

cosmic sailer by grant gilliland
Spaceships ahoy with Grant Gilliland's latest little guy, "Cosmic Sailor." Apparently he comes from outerseas and is pretty ear-resistible with his blond hair and funky outfit. Plus he wears his heart on his sleeve so you know he can't be a bad guy.
Painted with acrylic on an 8in. x 8in. canvas, you can bring him into your home for only US$ 125.
