little wonders art show

Please join us on Saturday, December 13, 7-10PM to celebrate the holidaze and the opening of Little Wonders, a group art show featuring small works by 15 of our favorite artists. The pieces will be priced exceedingly well (as in nothing over US$ 100) so come on by to do some shopping and partying -- two of the season's primary activities!

We're also staying open late on Friday, December 12, as part of the Mission District's Get Local night. If you prefer a little less hubbub and a lot more attention, visit with us!

new santos shelton pieces

Santos Shelton completed his piece from painting live at Carnival and also brought along a couple of nice new 8x8s, each of which are inspiring and artistic. "Follow Your Dreams" measures 14in. x 16in. and features collage and paint. It's priced at US$ 300 unframed and US$ 340 framed. Email us for more information and pix.

santos shelton

Up-and-coming Bay Area artist Santos Shelton brought by these two amazing pieces, which include collage, spray paint, and brushwork, all done in the space of a small 8x8 canvas for only US$ 125. Heavily influenced by graffiti, manga, cartoons, and comics as well as by the cultures of his mixed background, his work is an honest and raw expression of his personal obstacles and political views as a person of Mexican and African-American descent.

We've seen his artistry evolve in the short time since we met him at the Heavy Hitterz show, so we recommend you keep an eye on this one.
